Cabin Crew/Flight Attendant - Recurrent Training

RECURRENT TRAINING FOR CABIN CREW MEMBERS AND PILOTS

The Recurrent training syllabus is prescribed by the SACAA, and must be undertaken annually. Certain components need only be renewed every second or third year. 

Annual Recurrent Training modules for crew will include:

  • General Safety and Emergency Procedures Training (Annually,when employed by an airline)
  • Aircraft Type Rating (Annually,when employed by an airline)
  • Evacuation Drills (Practical, Jump & Slide) - (Annually,airline specific)
  • Aviation Medicine (Annually)
  • Dangerous Goods (Every Two Years)
  • Crew Resource Management (Annually)
  • Security (Annually)
  • Fire Fighting (Every Three Years) 
  • Wet Ditching (Every Three Years)

Course Entry Requirements 

  • A Class 2 medical certificate 
  • Valid licence

Course Cost :

  • R650 per individual training module i.e. Dangerous Goods, Security, Crew Resource Management, Ditching, Jump and Slide.
