René van der Bank qualified as a Registered Nurse and Midwife in December 1983, and Occupational Health Practitioner in 2002. She spent her first years of her career in General Nursing, and worked in different private practices and Casualty. In 2002, she joined South African Airways as occupational Healthcare Professional Nurse and Aviation Medicine Instructor. René developed a passion for training in the Aviation medicine field, and qualified as Assessor and Moderator, and registered as Civil Aviation Avmed Designated Examiner.

For the past 15 years she has also been affiliated with the South African Resuscitation Council as a Registered Basic Life Support and First Aid Instructor, which keeps her training up to date with the latest International Standards and Training guidelines.

René registered ECG/Avmed Training Organization in 2008 to fulfil her dream of becoming an Independent Avmed Training provider, and is currently conducting the Avmed training for EPT Aviation Training.

She sees her Training contribution not as only a mere, day to day job, but as a value adding contribution to the skills and personal growth of her trainees.

Hannelie Rix started her career as a Flight Attendant at South African Airways in 1989 flying both domestically and internationally.   In 2001 she was offered a Flight Attendant position at the very new and exciting Kulula.com (BA Comair Ltd).  It was an amazing experience to start with a brand new airline, sharing new and creative ideas with this young and innovative company. A year later she was offered a Cabin Controller position and later formed part of the airline’s interviewing team.

Being part of BA Comair Ltd.’s Interviewing Panel, Hannelie saw the opportunity to assist potential candidates with their interviewing skills and opened Cabin Crew Consultants (cc) in October 2007. The company’s main focus is the offering of information regarding all aspects of the airline industry.  Their website offers many different options to choose from.  Registration includes a monthly newsletter as well as information regarding vacancies at airlines.

One-on-one sessions are scheduled when the opportunity of an interview arises.  Candidates are taught how to manage themselves during formal and professional interviews as well as what to expect at each stage of the interview process.

A Flight Attendant Information Guide was put together to share inside information and need-to-know knowledge that would improve the chances of the candidate.

We are currently working on a short profile of each airline.   This will provide the most important knowledge of each airline the candidate must have when attending an interview at that airline.

The company offers an exciting Interview Skills day at EPT Aviation Training School where the learners are taught how to dress, how to walk and talk and how to focus on core words when asked a question.

One of our future goals is to offer Soft Skills training to candidates who have very little experience or who have never been exposed to the correct etiquette in the working environment.

Hannelie currently free-lances for a charter airline called Skyclass, taking American VIP passengers into Africa.

Photography is Astrid’s absolute passion.  It is an art form that catches important moments and events in any individual’s life. After an inspiring trip to India I turned my passion and my hobby into a wonderful and exciting business venture. Photography has helped me to see our beautiful world and amazing inhabitants in a new light! I have met the most inspiring people at each photo shoot and can honestly say that I do love my
work!

Astrid is the photographer responsible for taking photos of all EPT Aviation Trainers learners. The head and shoulder and full length photographs taken of them get attached to their CV’s which are designed by EPT Aviation Training.
