SHIRLINIA EMMANUEL joined South African Airways (SAA) in February 2000 as a Cabin Crew Member / Airhostess. She joined the South African Airways Safety & Service Training Department in June 2006 as a Trainer where she presented Safety & Service related training to both flight deck and cabin crew members. She was also involved in the recruitment & selection process of trainers and was requested to assist with mentoring all new Safety & Service Trainers. Assessments of trainer competence levels also formed part of her portfolio.  Shirlinia is a qualified Facilitator, Assessor and South African Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Designated Examiner.

She left SAA to join the South African Civil Aviation Authority in May 2009 in the capacity of an Operations Planning & Administration Officer in the Air Safety Operations (ASO) Department.

Shirlinia has been appointed by EPT Aviation Training as the Manager of Human Resources & Training in 2011.
