Crew Resource Management (CRM) Training

The objective of CRM Training is Flight safety and how displaying honesty, directness, mutual respect, positive critique and feedback can play a vital role in flight safety.
CRM is:
• A comprehensive system for improving crew performance
• A way of addressing crew as a working unit
• Focusing on crew member attitudes, behaviours and their impact on safety
• A management system that makes optimum use of all available resources – equipment, people and procedures – to promote safety and enhance the efficiency of flight operations. It combines leadership, communications, decision making, fatigue & stress, problem solving, situational awareness, teamwork and risk, threat & error management
CRM is about doing the right thing, and when you see something is wrong – point it out!
CRM is not!
• A quick fix that can be implemented overnight
• A training program administered to only a few specialised or “fix it” cases
• A system that occurs independent of other ongoing training activities
• A psychological assessment or personality profile
• A passive lecture style course
