CULTURAL DIVERSITY TRAINING
Cultural Diversity means: A range of different peoples or societies with different traditions, religions, and origins living and interacting together. Culture is a set of norms that set standards of what is perceived as acceptable behaviour. Diversity means a difference from the majority.
In many cultures there are basic standards when interacting with each other. These standards include body language, work ethics, displaying emotions, social interactions etc.
Our cultural diversity training will enhance the respect we have for each other’s differences. It will also show, how in a working environment, people from diverse cultures can bring fresh ideas, problem and negotiating skills as well as the benefits of many languages to a business environment.
Course Modules will include:
- What is Diversity?
- Stereotypes vs. Biases
- Encouraging Diversity within the Workplace
- Encouraging Social Changes
- Body Language
- Preventing Discrimination
Course Entry Requirements
*Minimum of 17 years of age
*Proficient in the English language
Course Cost: R1 000.00 Per learner per day
Course Duration: 1 Day / 2 days
A 1 day course is tailored for learners who have been exposed to diversity within the working environment. The 2 day training course in recommended for Learners who have not been exposed to diversity within the workplace.
Course dates for 2012: This training course will be scheduled according to demand. A minimum of 6 learners are required to commence a training course.
